Small enough to care, old enough to know how
Nine years is long enough to have made most of the mistakes on someone else's project instead of yours.
Smitiv started in Singapore building mobile apps for businesses caught in the middle — too small to interest the large consultancies, too serious to gamble on the cheapest quote on a freelance marketplace. That’s still who we build for.
Since then we’ve shipped consumer apps, loyalty platforms, logistics tools, e-commerce systems and ERP implementations, and put more than a million users on software we wrote. Along the way we built FieldRobo, our own field service management product, because we’d solved the same dispatch problem enough times to know it deserved a product.
Today almost everything we build has AI somewhere in it — a chatbot handling the repetitive half of a support inbox, document extraction feeding an ERP, natural-language search inside an app. We use it in our own tooling too, which is a large part of why we can quote fixed prices and hit four-to-eight-week releases.
We work out of Kallang in Singapore and Tamarind Square in Cyberjaya. You can contract with the Singapore entity, work with the Malaysia team, or both — it’s one company and one delivery team either way.
How we got here

Smitiv starts in Singapore
Founded to build mobile apps for SMEs that couldn't get attention from the big agencies and couldn't risk the cheap end of the market.
- 2019
Past a million users
Consumer and loyalty platforms we built crossed a million users between them, and the team grew into web, cloud and backend engineering.
- 2021
FieldRobo
Years of building job-dispatch systems for service companies turned into our own field service management product, now deployed across the region.
- 2023
ERP practice
ERPNext became a core offering as SME clients hit the limits of spreadsheets and refused to pay per-seat licence fees for a system they couldn't modify.

Malaysia office
Opened in Cyberjaya, Selangor — delivery capacity alongside the Singapore entity, and a second base for clients in Malaysia.

Chatbots, document processing, forecasting and natural-language search are now part of most builds rather than a separate line item nobody approves.

We build with AI in the tooling and in the product. That means faster delivery on our side, and features like natural-language search, smart automation and document understanding shipped as standard — not quoted as an expensive extra.
